Maître de l’hyperréalisme, le Portugais Mr Dheo joue avec le contraste entre son sujet principal et le fond de l’œuvre, le jaune et le violet étant à l’opposé l’un de l’autre sur le spectre des couleurs. Mr Dheo s’est inspiré de ses grands-parents pour raconter l’amour inconditionnel, qui, quand on a l’immense chance de le rencontrer, permet de traverser les âges et les épreuves ensemble.

Mr Dheo drew inspiration from his grandparents to tell the story of unconditional love — which, when we are lucky enough to encounter it, allows us to journey through the years and the trials of life together.
