Scène du quotidien, maîtrise parfaite de l’impressionnisme, Manolo Mesa était le « perfect match » pour cet ancien mur, un peu délabré et craquelé, sur lequel il est venu poser ses pinceaux.
En assumant la fissure du mur au milieu de la jarre en terre cuite, Manolo compose avec l’existant, mêlant le réel à l’image pour rendre celle-ci encore plus vivante… Avec cette fresque, c’est toute l’histoire de nos anciens qui réémerge, comme si la municipalité avait décidé de restaurer une peinture murale du temps pas si lointain où nous allions encore à la rivière ou au puits chercher de l’eau…

By embracing the crack in the wall in the middle of the terracotta jar, Manolo works with the existing structure, blending reality with the image to make it even more alive… With this mural, it is the entire history of our ancestors that re-emerges, as if the municipality had decided to restore a wall painting from a not-so-distant time when we still went to the river or the well to fetch water…
