L’un des maîtres hollandais de l’anamorphose, Jan, a été l’un des premiers à décliner ses bibliothèques improbables dans l’espace public. Outre la prouesse technique, l’artiste a proposé à la copropriété de choisir les livres qu’elle souhaitait accueillir. Le choix de cette littérature est tout sauf aléatoire et donne ici un aperçu des goûts littéraires des copropriétaires concernés !
Expresso (52 semaines en montagne) de Cédric Sapin, Les Fleurs du Mal de Baudelaire, La Nature de la physique de Richard Feynman, Anna Karénine de Tolstoï, Les Raisins de la Colère de Steinbeck, Cher Connard de Virginie Despentes, L’Insoutenable Légèreté de l’être de Milan Kundera, La Prophétie des Andes de James Redfield, Le Berger de l’Avent de Gunnar Gunnarsson, et Cultural Knowledge Evolution in Dynamic Epistemic Logic, la thèse doctorale de la chercheuse Line Van Den Berg, grenobloise d’adoption, compatriote de l’artiste et tragiquement disparue dans une avalanche le 19 mai 2023 sur le Grosshorn (3 754 m) dans les Alpes suisses, à l’âge de 30 ans, quelques semaines avant l’arrivée de l’artiste qui a accepté d’honorer sa mémoire à sa façon.

One of the Dutch masters of anamorphosis, Jan, was one of the first to transpose his improbable libraries into public space. Beyond the technical feat, the artist offered the co-owners the chance to choose the books they wanted to welcome. The choice of this literature is anything but random and gives a glimpse into the literary tastes of the concerned co-owners!
Expresso (52 semaines en montagne) by Cédric Sapin, Les Fleurs du Mal by Baudelaire, La Nature de la physique by Richard Feynman, Anna Karénine by Tolstoy, The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck, Dear Dickhead by Virginie Despentes, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, The Shepherd of the Advent by Gunnar Gunnarsson, and Cultural Knowledge Evolution in Dynamic Epistemic Logic, the doctoral thesis of researcher Line Van Den Berg, a Grenoble resident by adoption, fellow countrywoman of the artist and tragically killed in an avalanche on 19 May 2023 on the Grosshorn (3,754 m) in the Swiss Alps, at the age of 30, a few weeks before the artist’s arrival, who agreed to honour her memory in his own way.
