Et si Hannibal repassait par ici avec ses éléphants ? C’est en référence à l’histoire de la ville et au passage du général carthaginois par Grenoble que l’artiste lyonnais Brusk a eu l’idée de confronter à nouveau le pachyderme aux montagnes qui nous entourent.
Si l’éléphant fait référence à l’histoire ancienne, les graffitis sur l’animal font, quant à eux, référence à l’histoire de l’artiste, du festival, mais surtout à l’histoire du street art, une histoire à laquelle l’artiste appartient déjà.

What if Hannibal came back through here with his elephants? It is in reference to the history of the city and the passage of the Carthaginian general through Grenoble that the Lyon artist Brusk had the idea of once again confronting the pachyderm with the mountains that surround us.
If the elephant refers to ancient history, the graffiti on the animal refer, for their part, to the artist’s own history, that of the festival, but above all to the history of street art — a history to which the artist already belongs.
