Augustine Kofie a choisi de jouer avec les couleurs de la Chartreuse… Oui oui, celles de la montagne et celles de la boisson !
Le vert clair et le jaune sont donc à l’honneur, pour célébrer le printemps et l’automne, mais aussi les deux couleurs de la boisson emblématique de la région — et de la France aux États-Unis, grâce au réalisateur de génie Quentin Tarantino. Dans son film Death Proof (2007), Tarantino (qui joue le rôle du barman Warren) sert des shots de Chartreuse verte et prononce cette réplique devenue culte : « Chartreuse ! The only liquor so good they named a color after it. »
Pas étonnant que l’artiste connaissait déjà le produit avant de venir réaliser sa première fresque à Grenoble en 2017 ! Tout cela, associé au travail de l’artiste et à ses représentations de plans d’architectes sur cette construction neuve, donne un cocktail détonnant !

Light green and yellow are therefore celebrated, to honour spring and autumn, but also the two colours of the emblematic drink of the region — and of France in the United States, thanks to the genius director Quentin Tarantino. In his film Death Proof (2007), Tarantino (who plays the bartender Warren) serves shots of green Chartreuse and delivers this now cult line: “Chartreuse! The only liquor so good they named a color after it.”
No wonder the artist already knew the product before coming to paint his first mural in Grenoble in 2017! All of this, combined with the artist’s work and his representations of architectural plans on this new building, creates a explosive cocktail!
